General RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a PostgraduateCertificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE) An understanding of the MYP and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is advantageousNewly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational instituteClick here to see the standard competencies and capabilities required to be a secondary school teacher at an ESF schoolIMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not qualify for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is a crucial requirement for teaching at an ESF school.
