Job Description

Job OverviewAs part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Primary School offerings and preparing for the opening of our Senior School in August 2025. We are currently seeking dynamic and passionate School Classroom Teachers who are available to join us during the 2025–26 academic year (starting in August 2025, January 2026, or April 2026). We also welcome expressions of interest from candidates looking ahead to August 2026 and beyond. Pelicans: Nursery to Year 2 (pupils aged 3-6) Junior School:

Key ResponsibilitiesCreate a learning environment where students engage in ongoing learning and reflection. Communicate and cooperate with staff and parents to support student success. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs, including EAL students. Arrange the classroom and materials according to school guidelines and maintain attractive displays to enhance the learning environment. Organise external learning opportunities, such as outdoor learning trips.

Assess, track, and report on student progress and behaviour, providing feedback and setting improvement goals. Prepare and present class assemblies and grade-level performances or productions. Contribute to the extracurricular programme (ECAs)Provide pastoral care and support for students, ensuring their well-being. Maintain high standards of behaviour, ensuring students' health and safety, and use positive reinforcement in line with school policies. Attend required staff meetings, workshops, and school events, including some weekends and evenings. Participate in professional development and improvement committees to enhance teaching practice.

Personal Competencies and QualitiesMotivation to work with children and young people, forming appropriate relationships and boundaries. Emotional resilience when addressing challenging behaviours. Empathy for students, parents, staff, and the wider school community. Demonstrated ability to inspire pupils of all abilities and enhance their learning experience. Strong organisational and time-management skills, effectively balancing teaching and administrative responsibilities.

Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning, including online resources and multimedia tools. A collaborative approach to teamwork, with a commitment to professional growth and development. A generosity of spirit and willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school, including organising trips and activities. Minimum QualificationsAt least two (2) years of teaching experience ideally within an international school environment. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, along with a Professional Teaching Qualification (e. g. , PGDE, PGCE, PGCEi, NIE Diploma), or a valid Teacher License/QTS. Desirable - experience of teaching the Cambridge International Curriculum.

Experience working with pupils who have English as an Additional Language (EAL), incorporating strategies to support language acquisition and proficiency. Candidates should also outline any areas of subject specialization and their willingness to take responsibility for teaching subjects such as Mathematics, English, Science, Humanities, or Creative Arts across year levels. Experience with inquiry-based and subject learning approaches and working in international schools. Demonstrated passion for education and ability to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
