The OrganisationStanwell is a key player in the National Electricity Market (NEM), which delivers over 200 terawatt hours of electricity annually and facilitates transactions exceeding $16 billion. Stanwell supports this complex ecosystem through the trading of physical and financial energy products, underpinned by a suite of Energy Trading systems. The Trading Technology Team plays a critical role in ensuring these systems are tested, secure, and reliable, enabling Stanwell to operate at scale across the market.The OpportunityWe’re seeking a skilled Test Analyst (Automation) to join Stanwell’s Trading Technology Team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality testing for both existing and new products across multiple business units, with a strong emphasis on automated test development and execution.This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who brings experience across the full software testing lifecycle, thrives in an agile and DevOps-driven environment, and can actively contribute to test strategy, standards, and coaching other team members.You’ll Be Responsible ForDeveloping and executing test artefacts including test plans, test cases, scripts, and status/closure reports Creating and maintaining automation scripts and integrating them within CI/CD pipelines Collaborating with developers, PMs, and SMEs to design, implement, and track test coverage Capturing and reporting on test metrics, results, and defect statuses throughout the lifecycle Contributing to test process improvement and knowledge sharing across teams Supporting third-party and in-house developed solutions through tailored test plans Upholding test quality, consistency, and business confidence through clear communication and reliable delivery Required SkillsMinimum 3 years’ experience in automated software testing within product delivery 5+ years overall software testing experience Experience with integration and end-to-end testing Strong scripting and test design skills Prior experience working within Agile/DevOps teams Degree in IT, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience Hands-on with Azure DevOps (for test/defect management) Preferred SkillsExperience testing both web and WPF applications Familiarity with Postman, Swagger for API testing Experience using c# Playwright automation suite experience CI/CD pipeline integration (especially in Azure DevOps) Exposure to both in-house and third-party solutions Experience in producing test summary and closure reports Demonstrated ability to align test practices with business outcomes Key CapabilitiesHigh personal achievement orientation and accountability Builds trust and rapport quickly across technical and non-technical teams Strong focus on inclusive collaboration and continuous improvement Adapts well to change and thrives in fast-paced environments Thinks ahead and applies strategic, innovative approaches to problem-solving Organised, structured, and clear in planning and execution Demonstrates ethical decision-making and alignment with company values BenefitsJoin a high-performing energy company with real impact on the national grid Work within a collaborative team committed to quality and innovation Contribute to testing frameworks that support $16B+ market transactions Build deep technical skills across automation, DevOps, and trading technologies Long-term career growth potential in a stable, values-driven organisation How To ApplyIf you’re a passionate Test Analyst ready to make your mark in a high-stakes environment, please apply here or contact Ladrell Leyes via ladrell.leyes@teksystems.com, quoting Job Reference 544434.
