Who We AreBy joining our project, you will be working on an initiative of the European Commission focused on creating a more efficient, modern and secure customs environment within the European Union. Being part of this initiative set on a 5 years’ timeline, you will have the opportunity to work on topics such as digitalization of customs processes, streamlining customs procedures to facilitate trade and reduce costs, harmonization of customs rules across all EU member states and combating fraud.This purposeful project will not only give you the opportunity to have an impact on one of the key topics within the European Union, it will also offer you various professional opportunities, let you experience a collaborative environment, using cutting-edge technologies and experiencing diversity in your everyday professional life.What You'll Be DoingDesign, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for infrastructure components and platform services, including Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, LAMP stack environments, MS Windows environments.Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of infrastructure platforms through rigorous automated testing practices.Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with tooling specialists to enhance test coverage and execution efficiency.Work closely with platform engineers and other team members to define test strategies and ensure alignment with project goals.Implement automated test result reporting and contribute to dashboards that provide visibility into platform health and test outcomes.Create and manage test data sets that reflect real-world scenarios and edge cases for infrastructure components.Identify opportunities to improve test automation frameworks, processes, and practices within the infrastructure domain.Ensure that automated tests support compliance with security and operational standards.What You'll Bring AlongBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Robot Framework, JUnit, TestNG) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Groovy).Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as Oracle WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, LAMP stack, MS Windows environments.Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.Ability to design comprehensive test cases and troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure layers.Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including platform engineers and analysts.Understanding of DevSecOps principles and how to incorporate security testing into automation workflows.Ability to produce clear, concise documentation for test cases, frameworks, and automation processes.Relevant certifications in test automation, DevOps, or infrastructure technologies are a plus.Excellent command of both spoken and written English.
