Test Engineer/Automation Engineer

Overview:We are seeking Test Engineers to support our Data Lakehouse and Supplement Automation initiatives. The ideal candidates will have hands-on experience testing data pipelines, BI dashboards, and automation workflows built using Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Synapse.Validate data transformations, ingestion flows, and end-to-end data quality across sources and sinks.Perform functional and UI testing of Power BI dashboards and Power Platform applications.Test automation logic and workflows using Power Automate and Power Apps connected with Dataverse.Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps or equivalent tools.Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure test coverage and business alignment.Develop and maintain reusable test scripts and support test automation frameworks as applicable.Contribute to performance, regression, and integration testing efforts.Ensure test data management, environment readiness, and validation practices are followed.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.3+ years of QA experience with at least 1–2 years in data platforms or Microsoft Power Platform.Strong understanding of Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Power BI.Experience testing workflows, forms, and automations using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.Proficiency in SQL and data validation techniques.Experience with QA tools like Azure DevOps, Postman, Jira, or similar.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities.Preferred:Experience with test automation or scripting in data and UI contexts.Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.ISTQB or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
