Job Description

Sony Semiconductor Israel is seeking a student to join the Product & Test Engineering Group within the Operations Department.The ideal candidate will work in data analysis, CI/CD infrastructure, and cloud-based development environments and will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making across our production and test operations, including Yield analysis, and working on quality and reliability on new products.What you will be doing:As a Test and Product Engineer at Sony Semiconductor Israel, you will design, develop, and maintain production test programs for advanced digital and RF ICs. You will work closely with fellow Product and Test Engineers, silicon design teams, and operations to ensure our devices meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This role is key to delivering reliable, cutting-edge semiconductor products to customers worldwide.On a typical day:As a Test and Product Engineer, your day often begins with analyzing production test results and identifying key issues. You might work on refining test programs, developing new hardware for test stations, or troubleshooting anomalies alongside design and manufacturing teams. You will participate in cross-functional meetings, share insights with colleagues, and drive continuous improvements that directly impact product quality, yield, and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain data processing pipelines for production and test data.Perform statistical and big data analysis on large datasets regularly flowing from the production line.Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD workflows to support internal tools and automation.Build and support production monitoring tools and dashboards for real-time visibility and performance tracking.Deploy, manage, and optimize servers and cloud services for data and tool infrastructure.Collaborate closely with product and test engineers to identify data insights and improve process efficiency.Requirements:B.Sc. student in electrical engineering, with at least 2–2.5 years remaining until graduation—must.Experience in Python programming - mustHands-on experience in CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.) – advantageStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.Database background (SQL/NoSQL, schema design, data management) – advantageExperience in server and cloud service setup (AWS, Azure, or GCP) – advantageFamiliarity with semiconductor or manufacturing environments or focusing on these directions in the degree – advantage.Knowledge of data visualization and statistical analysis tools – advantage.
