Job Description

Financial Controller – Indian Ocean Tuna Ltd, Thai Union Group As a Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in aligning financial strategy with business operations. You will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, helping the operations team drive productivity and efficiency across key projects. This role is critical in translating company strategy into a long-range plan while ensuring financial compliance and delivering insights that enhance decision-making. The role will be based in Seychelles and reporting to the Finance Manager Your Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Performance ManagementTransform the overarching company strategy into long-range plans and annual operating budgets. Develop financial models to forecast operating and profitability performance, setting annual KPI targets. Provide comprehensive financial reporting, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis, ensuring clear direction for management. Analyse and monitor trends in key financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, net working capital, project savings, and profit margins by product and customer. Financial Reporting & ComplianceEnsure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Thai Union Financial Reporting Guidance. Implement and maintain strong internal control systems within the company.

Support month-end closing, product costing, and financial reporting requirements. Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial report packs, providing insights and recommendations to the Group. Process Improvement & Strategic InitiativesLead continuous improvement initiatives, particularly in business intelligence tools, forecasting/budgeting processes, and dashboard reporting. Develop financial models to support strategic business initiatives. Collaborate with management and department heads to provide data-driven financial analysis and recommendations. Operational Excellence & ComplianceMaintain a clean, hygienic, and safe working environment. Strictly adhere to company policies and procedures. Bachelor's degree and at least 2-year finance position in manufacturing equivalent experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel, SAP, Data analyticKnowledge of accounting principles and practicesIn-depth knowledge and experience of standard costing-budgeting-planningManagerial, supervisory experienceSolid financial acumen and Growth mindsetProficiency in EnglishAttention to detail and accuracy, Problem analysis and problem-solving skills, planning, organizing, and KPI monitoringCommunication skills, conceptual thinking, and decision-makingStress tolerance, Team work, Commit to deadline About Us:
