Position SummaryOversees and conducts inspections of specified products in accordance with inspection audit protocol, as identified in MILSTD and AQL as well as valid sampling plan.
When quality issues are detected, notifies proper personnel in accordance with North American Quality & Process Transformation SOP. Takes appropriate action, such as segregation, culling and making inventory adjustments through proper materials management notification. Assists in detailed root cause analysis and is a key team member on process improvement teams. Responds to special inspection requirements as well as pre-established inspection schedules. Provides detailed information, reports, and samples on quality problems, quantities involved, and percentages found. QualificationsHigh School diploma, or GEDMust have knowledge of Merchandise Control and Order Fulfillment procedures.
Knowledge of acceptable quality of a broad product range (through AQL, specifications). Working knowledge or strong ability to learn WMS, Devex, QMS and other applicable technologies. Must possess basic knowledge of Windows, Word, PowerPoint and ExcelWorking knowledge of finished stock codes. Must be able to discern colors and fragrances, based on visual standards, limit boards and samples. Strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle pressure and demonstrate flexibility. Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues. Ability to prioritize handling of situations.
