Type: This is a full-time position About The TeamThe College Board Latin America (CB-LATAM) office is a dedicated and collaborative team focused on serving thousands of students each year as they prepare for a successful transition to college.

We support a wide range of educational institutions and government partners across the region through our portfolio of regionally tailored assessments and programs. Our flagship college readiness assessment is the PAA, part of the PAA Suite of Assessments, which also includes the Pruebas de Ingreso y Evaluación para el Nivel Secundario (PIENSE), Conoce, Explora, Planifica y Actúa (CEPA), and the Prueba de Nivel Avanzado (PNA). Additional CB-LATAM programs include the English Language Assessment System for Hispanics (ELASH) and the Prueba para la Certificación de Maestros – Puerto Rico (PCMAS).

About The OpportunityThe Senior Director of Assessment Operations provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for College Board’s programs across Puerto Rico and Latin America. This role ensures strong alignment and coordination between the Director of Puerto Rico Operations and the Director of LATAM & Digital Operations, enabling each team to deliver best-in-class service tailored to the needs of their respective markets.

While the two teams maintain distinct regional focuses, the Senior Director plays a critical role in driving cross-functional integration across shared areas such as digital testing, customer support, vendor management, and quality assurance. The Senior Director also partners closely with the Market Development team to ensure operational readiness supports institutional growth and successful partner onboarding. Success in this role requires strong managerial skills, the ability to lead through influence, and a commitment to informed, evidence-based decision-making that advances quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across diverse markets. This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In This Role, You Will Focus OnTeam Leadership and Market-Specific Oversight (30%)Lead a team (through layers) that includes the Directors of Puerto Rico Operations and LATAM & Digital Operations, responsible for delivering consistent, high-quality operational execution across both markets. Set vision and priorities for the teams, ensuring clear goal-setting, collaboration, and performance alignment across functions. Partner closely with the Associate Director of Logistics to maintain consistent production planning and seamless delivery throughout the LATAM and Puerto Rico markets.

Cultivate an inclusive and high-achieving culture that promotes mentorship, clarity of expectations, and professional growth for all team members, enabling them to thrive within College Board’s Operating Principles. Track and manage progress to goals using data-driven insights to inform decision-making, balancing short-term performance targets with long-term strategic objectives. Provide coaching and support to regional leaders and their teams, including the customer service function (e. g. , call center), to ensure responsive and high-quality support is delivered to all stakeholders.

Partner with the Market Development team to ensure operational capacity and readiness align with evolving growth goals and new customer onboarding needs. Digital Transformation and Optimization (30%)Support the Director of LATAM & Digital Operations in the execution of the College Board’s digital testing strategy. Provide cross-team coordination and ensure digital transformation aligns with institutional partner needs, operational capacity, and customer experience goals. Ensure customer support functions are adapted to meet the needs of digital assessment delivery, including readiness, scalability, troubleshooting, and user experience. Identify and implement AI-informed solutions to streamline operations, improve service quality, and reduce costs.

Lead process redesign initiatives to increase operational efficiency and scalability across both regions. Strategy and Stakeholder Engagement (25%)Build strong, collaborative relationships with education ministries, schools, universities, and vendors across the region. Align operational planning with the College Board’s strategic priorities in Puerto Rico and Latin America. Use stakeholder feedback and market insights to enhance service delivery and inform process improvements. Compliance, Logistics, and Quality Assurance (15%)Oversee registration, accommodations, inventory, materials delivery, and test-day operations for both paper and digital formats. Ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, and security protocols, including ADA compliance.

Apply quality control and performance monitoring systems to continuously improve internal operations and vendor outcomes. About You  To qualify for this role, you must have: Education: Bachelor’s degree in operations management, engineering, or a related field is required. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred Experience: At least 10 years of senior experience in operations or program management. Proven record of leading regional or multi-market teams in high-stakes, customer-facing environments. Experience in education, digital services, or public-private partnerships is a plus Leadership and Decision-Making:

Strong leader with the ability to manage complex teams and make informed, evidence-based decisions. Demonstrated success in performance management, leading through change, and team development Matrix leadership and indirect influence: Experienced in leading through influence across distributed teams and matrixed roles. Skilled at driving collaboration across multiple functions without direct reporting lines Vendor Management: Skilled in managing external vendor relationships. Able to ensure service quality, accountability, and alignment with organizational goals Digital and AI Fluency: Knowledgeable in digital platforms and AI applications that support operational efficiency. Able to lead improvements while maintaining ethical and data integrity standards Communication Skills:

Native or near-native fluency in Spanish and English, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Comfortable working with internal teams, senior leadership, and external partners Availability and Travel: Willing to work select Saturdays for test administrations. Able to travel within Puerto Rico and to institutions across Latin America (up to 25%) Proven experience and ability to live out College Board’s Manager Expectations, including but not limited to:
