Job Summary: The Encourager Association is seeking a creative and highly motivated Social Media and Community Coordinator Intern to join our team in Buea.
This is a paid internship designed for a student or recent graduate looking to gain hands-on experience in social media management, content creation, and community engagement within a non-profit setting. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who is not afraid to be in front of the camera, has a keen eye for detail, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for developing and executing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and fostering a vibrant online community. Responsibilities: * Content Creation: Produce compelling video content for various social media platforms (e. g.
, TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts). This includes conceptualizing, filming, and editing videos. * Video and Graphic Design: Utilize basic graphic design skills to create visually appealing posts and promotional materials. Edit videos to a high standard, ensuring they are engaging and on-brand. * Social Media Management: Schedule and post content across all social media channels. Monitor social media trends and implement best practices to increase reach and engagement. * Community Engagement: Interact with our online community by responding to comments and messages in a timely and professional manner. Help build a positive and supportive online environment. * Acting/On-Camera Presence:
Be comfortable and confident in acting roles for videos and other promotional materials. * Attention to Detail: Ensure all content is free of errors, consistent with brand guidelines, and aligns with the organization's mission. * Adaptability: Work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Requirements: * Must be located in Buea. * Enrolled in or a recent graduate of a program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. * Proven experience in video editing (e. g. , CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve). * Familiarity with basic graphic design tools (e. g. , Canva, Adobe Express).
* Comfortable and confident in acting and appearing on camera. * Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their respective algorithms. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. * A portfolio or examples of previous work (videos, social media accounts, etc. ) is highly encouraged. * A passion for the mission of The Encourager Association.
