About The RoleThe Director of Marketing and Communication holds a vital role in the operation of the School with comprehensive responsibility for the planning, oversight, and execution of all aspects of the Development Office, encompassing the areas of student enrolments, marketing & promotion, community relations and communication - both internal and external - and alumni. The role is part of our Senior Leadership Team.
Reporting to the Acting Principal, the Director of Marketing and Communication manages the marketing strategy of the School and promotes it to the wider community; thus, assisting families in helping them decide that Glennie is their School of choice.
Key Tasks And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the overall management of all strategic and operational marketing and customer relationship activitiesSeek new opportunities for promotion of the SchoolPlan, direct, and oversee the marketing and business development initiatives within the SchoolPlan and coordinate the implementation of marketing plans to penetrate new marketsOversee all aspects of the Schoolâs internal and external communicationsPlan and direct public relations programs designed to promote and maintain a favourable public image for the SchoolPrepare media releases and interview material for the Principal on relevant topicsProvide guidance to internal staff on branding and general marketing activitiesIn collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, developing and maintaining an innovative and contemporary enrolment strategyDevelop progressive strategies to grow student enrolment numbersCollate and analyse enrolment data to develop targeted marketing campaigns to attract enrolmentsBe the Schoolâs liaison between the School and School community groupsDevelop and implement a Community Relations Strategy to engage with the current and wider communityOversee the organisation, running, and marketing of major functions in collaboration with relevant staff at the SchoolAttend relevant School and community events to represent The Glennie SchoolAbout YouTertiary qualifications in a field commensurate with the area of responsibilityMinimum of five (5) years experience in a marketing management role and experience in leading the marketing functionExperience in publication and print managementExperience in developing and implementing successful communication campaignsExperience with the provision of written and electronic advertising and promotional materialProven media relations successExperience in the use of contemporary software appropriate for duties, including advanced technology skills with sound understanding of design programs, website management and social mediaUnderstanding of, or previous experience in, the education sector would be highly regardedAbility to travel to rural and remote areas to enhance the marketing of the SchoolMaintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required for the positionYour ApplicationPlease submit your application including a cover letter and resume addressed to the Acting Principal.
