Job DescriptionCoordinates daily activities within blood center. In this function, evaluates staffing, approves; roasters of Transfusion Officers, Technologists, Drivers and Distribution Department. Makes any necessary adjustments based on Blood Center needs. Supervise day to day operations of blood center such as daily performance of tasks, inventory problems, equipment malfunctions and quality control. Technical involvement at testing benches. Review of technical reports, temperature charts and data sheets. In concert with the laboratory supervisors complies with regulatory guidelines and revising laboratory procedures as necessary. Supervise training and development of the blood center staff as specified in accreditation requirements.
Participates in departmental programs for quality assurance and improvement, identifying opportunities to improve services. Managing and organizing camps by participating in planning and layout of blood drive activities, pre-camp motivation campaigns and post drives donor counseling sessions. Supervise blood donor collection at blood drives. Be a member of “Accreditation Team” and ensure continued accreditation of the laboratory. Represents The Indus Hospital Blood Center in a professional manner all the times. Must interact and communicate well with the blood bank staff, corporate partners and service partners. Ability to work independently as a team lead.
