Job DescriptionJoin our highly diverse team of technically skilled and passionate professionals to create 3D models, textures, and rigs!Core ResponsibilitiesAs a 3D Artist you will be responsible for 3D hard surface and organic modeling in Maya. You will re-topologize geometry based on CAD data and be the bridge between the creation of raw 3D assets and their integration into our digital workflows. In addition, you’ll be working with UV mapping and normal map baking.

Further to the roleClean up 3D models removing unnecessary geometry, fixing errors and ensuring proper topologyActively be involved in our customer’s projects to elicit and communicate needs and prioritizationActively promoting a continuous improvement culture in our team and ways of workingEngaging with vendor management/facilitationTaking an active and independent role with production ownership and cross-departmental communicationTogether with the task planner you will build and ensure an optimized and agile workflow across different processes and prioritiesPlay your part in our team succeedingIn our department, Virtual Assets & Building Instruction Experience, we deliver digital components and world class buildings experiences for both the physical and digital instructions for the LEGO® builders of tomorrow.

As a part of that Virtual Element Design is the basic creator of all foundation for 2D and 3D usage of digital elements. Our main tasks are modeling, simplification, texturing, and clarification of elements for building instructions, packaging and marketing in addition to various other digital media and pipelines, including both high fidelity rendering as well as games and other real-time experiences.

Do you have what it takes?A background in a 3D related education and some years of proven industry experienceExperience with modeling and UV mapping in Autodesk MayaExperience with Substance Painter, Adobe PhotoshopExperience with digital pipelines and ability to give feedback on solutions for system and processes for various digital demandsStrong collaboration skills and a positive personality; you are a true team player embracing different people and culturesA self-driven and result oriented approach and adaptability to changesBusiness and value chain understanding, plus a focus on updating and improving skills and workflowsAdvanced level in EnglishNice to haveProduction experience with game engines such as Unreal/UnityExperience in rigging, animation, lighting, rendering, etc.
