For more information, visit www. rsb. orgYour RoleAs RSB's Standards Manager you will report to the Standards & Certification Director to manage the development and strengthening of RSB standards and related tools which constitute the RSB sustainability framework, contributing to positioning RSB as an impact driven and robust sustainability certification scheme.
You will be responsible for ensuring RSB's suite of standards and related documents and tools uphold RSB's reputation in their presentation, consistency, and clarity of language. You will provide technical interpretation on standards requirements to RSB team members as well as to external stakeholders including policy-makers, NGOs, the private sector and other sustainability certification schemes, and be part of a team managing standards development and implementation. In this role, you will: Manage RSB's standards development processes, ensuring RSB maintains a robust and updated suite of scheme documentation and tools (RSB sustainability framework).
Improve RSB's suite of standards and related documents to enhance its accessibility and user friendliness through language and visual re-design (e. g. addition of graphics, flow-charts, summaries, real-world examples). Manage standard, procedure and guidance modifications, amendments, reviews and updates in line with RSB's standards workplan. Conduct technical analysis/benchmarks and recognition activities. Administer RSB's Green House Gas Calculator tool (answering client requests and questions about the tool) Maintain RSB's recognition to ISEAL Standard-Setting Code of Good Practice. Support in the coordination of the RSB's multistakeholder General Standards Working Group.
Support RSB's standards communications via web and text publicationsThrough this role, you will interact with the full spectrum of RSB stakeholders, working across aviation, chemicals and polymers, textiles and apparel, and other sectors to build a consistent communication of RSB's best-in-class sustainability standards and related tools. RequirementsRequired - Education, experience, and qualifications5+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably working in a standard-setting or certification system environment. Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field (sustainability, environmental sciences, engineering, etc)Solid understanding of the bioenergy, biofuels and biomaterials sector.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and ability to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely to varied audiencesStrong writing skills for both technical and general subjects and audiences. Proficiency in Microsoft Office softwareSolid understanding of concepts such as mass balance, GHG, and other sustainability topics.
