The Housing stream is one of these streams, responsible for: Ensuring the effective and sustainable delivery of housing services that meet holistic needs. Fostering collaboration and engagement with local Corps, communities and Salvation Army services. Integrating faith, cultural awareness and inclusion in all service activities.
Implementing innovation and continuous improvement in social service delivery. Operational delivery of contracted programmes. Design, development, procurement, quality and monitoring functions. Facilitating missional connection. About The RoleThe Regional Housing Manager leads, manages, and supports all Housing staff within the region covering Bay of Plenty, Waikato, Hawkes Bay, Taranaki and Manawatu-Whanganui. This role oversees the effective and efficient delivery and operation of all regional Housing services and builds relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
The manager advocates on behalf of Regional Housing services in all matters pertaining to safe service delivery, aligning with The Salvation Army (TSA) Territorial Strategic Plan and Mission Impact Framework. The Regional Housing Manager oversees the ongoing implementation of professional, empathetic and effective housing services to those in need of Housing solutions. This role is also accountable for fostering and sustaining a culture of interdependent leadership and collaborative mission delivery across designated Housing Teams. Our Ideal Candidate WillDemonstrate natural leadership qualities using a collaborative approach, establishing great relationships with staff, service users and peers. Proven effective management experience in a relevant sector. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven and strong understanding of and commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Relevant tertiary degree level qualification in Social Sciences or Health and relevant professional registration and practising certificates are advantageous. Candidates should be adaptable, energetic, self-motivated and committed to our mission of 'caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society'. Hours of work: Permanent full time at 40 hours per week. Hours to be worked 8: 30am-5: 00pm Monday to Friday. The starting salary for this role will fall between $118,000 and $130,000 per annum. Applicants will be reviewed and processed as received and the role therefore may close early.
