Job Description

Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant at The Zemba Companies will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and reports for all subsidiaries. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for account reconciliations, assisting with budget and close processes, conducting internal audits, and maintaining accounts payable documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while handling highly confidential information discreetly. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and reports for all The Zemba Companies subsidiaries.

Perform account reconciliations and ensure the general ledger is maintained in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Assist with budget and close processes, providing timely and accurate financial information to management. Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as external regulations. Maintain accounts payable documentation and ensure timely processing of vendor payments. Assist the Corporate Controller with various tasks and projects as needed. Respond to information requests from management across all The Zemba Companies subsidiaries. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Continuously update knowledge of accounting principles, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and accuracy. Competencies Or Experience RequirementsExcellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders. Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Ability to discreetly handle highly confidential information. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across all The Zemba Companies subsidiaries. Education RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
