Job SummaryA Zuber transporter is responsible for transporting clients from the designated pick-up location to designated drop-off location(s). Their duties may include using a navigation system to map their route and delivering clients to the correct addresses in a timely manner. Be available for 24hr on-call, hours vary per week. Essential FunctionsConduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection and report deficiencies to shop immediately. Report improper operation, faulty equipment and unusual conditions to the Truck Fleet & Service Manager utilizing the proper vehicle inspection report paperwork. Transport clients to and from destinations. Arrive at destinations on schedule.
Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays. Use navigation applications to determine the best route. Interact with clients professionally at all times. Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled, cleaned and ready for use. Complete proper paperwork to submit for each call. Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date. All other duties as assigned. Competencies Or Experience RequirementsA valid driver’s license and per insurance requirements be at least 25 years of age. Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations.
Time management and organizational skills to keep track of deliveries and stay on schedule. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients. Education RequirementsHigh School diploma or general education degree (GED)SafetyStrict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.
