We are a reputed headhunting company based in Colombo looking for an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager for a leading FMCG company based in Kottawa. Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the QA Manager in developing, implementing, and monitoring quality assurance systems, policies, and procedures in line with FMCG industry standards. Ensure compliance with ISO, HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory requirements. Conduct quality audits of raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods. Monitor and analyze quality performance data and implement corrective/preventive actions. Supervise laboratory operations, testing, and quality inspections to maintain product safety and consistency.
Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to address quality-related issues. Support training programs for employees on quality standards, food safety, and hygiene practices. Handle customer complaints related to product quality and implement improvements. Assist in preparing documentation for certifications, regulatory submissions, and internal/external audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce wastage/rejections. Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field. Minimum 3-5 years of QA experience in the FMCG industry (food, beverages, personal care, or household products).
Knowledge of ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP/QA software. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage a team. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
