Job Description

Thriv LLC, a full-service CPA firm located in San Juan, is looking to hire a Tax Manager that will be responsible for reviewing, supervising and completing multiple assignments and projects on the tax department. The manager will be also responsible for the tasks, due dates and management of the staff and engagements to comply effectively with the deliverables and staff development. The manager should demonstrate leadership, excellent communication skills, technical analytical skills and quality on their review of tax returns and consulting work. Duties and responsibilities: 路 Maintain direct communication with clients and staff personnel for the completion of deliverables.

路 Work independently with limited or no supervision on engagements. 路 Develop strategies to train, review and improve staff personnel while supervising their development. 路 Maintain direct communication with the partners on engagement planning, execution and team chargeability. 路 Complete, supervise and review multiple projects and client assignments. 路 Monitor engagements and time incurred on the work. 路 Ensure and provide quality on the review of workpapers, returns and deliverables. 路 Maintain appropriate professionalism in client and team interactions. 路 Assist with tax provisions, auditor鈥檚 requests and tax research on both, local and federal tax laws.

Required QualificationsBachelor鈥檚 degree in accounting, Master鈥檚 Degree, MST, JD or other advanced degree preferred. CPA and/or JD requiredFive (5) plus years of experience working in tax compliance and tax consulting in public accounting. Excellent analytical, technical and accounting skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environmentFully bilingual (English and Spanish)Exceptional computer skills.
