A leading accountancy practice is seeking to recruit a trainee company secretary to join their company secretarial team. The role will report to the senior company secretary. This role is to assist with the management of a portfolio of clients in the company secretarial department. The role is a two year training contract with fully paid support to undertake the MSc in Management and Corporate Governance (GradCG). The company secretarial department provides expert advice and support in relation to company law matters to our clients and to our audit, tax, corporate finance and insolvency teams.
Key responsibilitiesAssist with the management of annual compliance matters for clients and ensuring timely filings to the Companies Registration OfficeArrange for the drafting of all necessary Companies Registration Office forms, notices and resolutions in relation to change of name, change of constitution, changes to share capitalAssist with incorporation and administration of external companies, incorporation and voluntary strike off of Irish and UK companies and assisting clients with their compliance requirements under the beneficial ownership regulationsDraft minutes and resolutions in respect of AGMs, EGMs and board meetings.
Maintain statutory books and recordsMeet deadlines on a regular basis and ensure highest standard of quality and client service is maintained at all timesAs a trainee company secretary you will have a business or legal degree with an interest in company secretarial. You will be highly organised, proactive individual with strong attention to detail and a sense of responsibility and the ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and personable with a positive outlook/can do attitude. Prior experience in a company secretarial setting in Ireland is an advantage.
