Job DescriptionThe following skills and abilities are needed for the position of Title IX Coordinator : Develop working knowledge of the federal Title IX law and implementation regulations Understand the requirements and the intent of the law Develop and revise the policy (policy is already developed, however updates/revisions are needed) Review reports and complaints raising potential Title IX issues to ensure the University is consistent with its Title IX obligations Review University policy regularly to ensure compliance with Title IX changes and/ revisions Develop, implement, coordinate, and conduct educational programs and initiatives designed to educate and support faculty, staff, and students regarding their rights and, where applicable, obligations under Title IX, including reporting options/responsibilities, support services, University policy and applicable disciplinary code, grievance procedures, confidential resources, etc. Monitor compliance Identify persons that would implement the policy ( responsible employees/committee to assist with Title IX hearings) Ensure the University conducts prompt and impartial investigations and fair hearings in accordance with Title IX and University policy Assess and address known or apparent conflicts of interest among those involved with Title IX proceedings Maintain records of complaints, investigations, hearings, and resolutions Provide updated information on Title IX implementation, changes, and revisions Provide updated resources on Title IX Ensure Title IX policy is current and in compliance Attend trainings/workshops/conferences to remain knowledgeable of Title IX and its changes/revisions Be knowledgeable of federal and state laws, regulations, and policies on all equity issues Other Title IX duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelors Degree in related field Experience with governmental compliance practices Attention to detail Ability to use impartial judgement in matters of interpersonal conflict Ability to keep confidentiality Ability to maintain records, and to write required reports Ability to work after normal business hours on occasion, if requiredPreferred QualificationsAdvanced degree in related field (e.g. MBA , MPA , etc.) Previous experience working with Title IX Compliance Previous experience with conflict resolution Previous experience working in collaboration with university administrators (e.g. Human Resources, Student Affairs, Academic Affairs)
