We’re looking for a hands-on, proactive Maintenance Supervisor to help keep our resort operating at its best—safely, efficiently, and with attention to detail. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will lead a team of technicians to ensure our resort grounds, guest-facing areas, and equipment remain safe, functional, and visually appealing.
You’ll bring expertise in general maintenance, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to teamwork, safety, and guest satisfaction. Job DescriptionPerform and oversee general maintenance duties including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and minor repairs. Supervise and coach a team of maintenance technicians, delegating tasks effectively. Act as the department lead in the absence of the Maintenance Manager. Collaborate with all departments to identify and resolve maintenance needs promptly. Ensure the department maintains a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness. Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols, including WCB and WHMIS standards.
Inspect, maintain, and repair recreational equipment in the Adventure Centre and Tuff Fit Gym. Participate in the development of a resort-wide risk registry and preventive maintenance schedule. Coordinate with and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs or servicing. Conduct regular inspections of the resort’s exterior and infrastructure to uphold appearance and safety. Perform physical tasks such as lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, crouching, and working in varied weather conditions. Other duties as assigned. QualificationsMinimum 2 years of hands-on maintenance experience; resort or hotel experience an asset. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
Strong working knowledge of infrastructure systems (hydro, water, sewer) is a strong asset. Certification in a maintenance-related field preferred. Class 5 driver’s license required. Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely and effectively. Flexible schedule—available evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physically fit and able to work in indoor/outdoor environments year-round. Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint or other digital maintenance tracking systems is an asset.
