Torbay Children’s Services is seeking two dedicated and detail-oriented Referral Coordinators to join our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). As a Referral Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact for safeguarding referrals. You’ll handle sensitive information received via phone, email, post, and in person from professionals and members of the public.
Your role will be vital in ensuring timely and accurate recording of referral details using the Liquid Logic case management system. Key responsibilities of the role include: Receive and record referral information across multiple channels. Input and update children’s and families’ records using Liquid Logic. Liaise with internal and external services to ensure appropriate follow-up. Provide clear and professional communication, both written and verbal. We are looking for: Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure. Familiarity with local services supporting families in Torbay.

Understanding of the framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families. An understanding of basic human needs, cultural, physical, emotional and social. Knowledge of case recording systems, such as Liquid Logic. Experience & QualificationsEssential: Educated to GCSE O Level standard or equivalent or above. Evidence of consistent pattern of learning from education, training and expertise.
Experience of dealing with the public, either through Health, Education, Social Services, Voluntary Agency work. Child Protection Emotional Abuse and Neglect.
