In 2016, One World Observatory received awards and recognition from the Concierge Choice Awards (Winner: Tourist Attraction), Themed Entertainment Association (Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement), TripAdvisor (Top U.S. Trending Summer Attraction), and Lonely Planet (Favorite Online Listing).THE ROLEThe Tour Ambassador is a dynamic and interactive role at the Observatory, centered on creating memorable guest experiences and ensuring visitors fully engage with the Observatory’s offerings.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesGreet all guests as they enter assigned areasEnsure safety of all guests while waiting on tour or in assigned areasProvide facts and historical information about the city, visible landmarks,Point out features of interest, speaking at length with regard, and answering related questionsConduct in-depth, specialized talks, and walking tours of the ObservatoryProvide the highest level of customer service for the guest, resolving issues, and referring any issue that is unable to be satisfactorily addressed to a supervisor-/leader-on-dutyCreate and prepare specified tour material as neededPerform and present information in a concise, legible manner to guests – speaking clearly and loudly with a commanding presence is a mustWork non-traditional hours, nights, weekends, and holidays – as necessaryPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipSupervisory Responsibilitiesn/aQualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm.
