Location: West Africa (Mauritania) – Mining SiteRoster: 6 Weeks On / 3 Weeks Off (FIFO)Position Type: Full-time Expat AssignmentAbout the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Large Wheel Loader Specialist to join our maintenance team, with expertise on Caterpillar 994H and 994K models. This role is crucial in ensuring our large wheel loaders operate at peak performance in a demanding mining environment. Key Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on Caterpillar 994H and 994K large wheel loaders. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to minimize downtime. Mentor and provide on-the-job training for local technicians.
Ensure all work meets Caterpillar service and safety standards. Provide all service and performance reports on time, ensuring accurate documentation and timely submission to meet operational and compliance requirements. Requirements: Proven experience with a Caterpillar dealer specializing in large wheel loaders. In-depth knowledge of 994H and 994K maintenance, systems, and troubleshooting. Strong understanding of mining site operations and safety requirements. Caterpillar Certified Mining Technician status will be a strong advantage. Proficiency in using Cat ET and SIS for diagnostics and technical support. Languages: English (mandatory) – Arabic or French will be an advantage.
Ability to work in a remote mining environment on a 6/3 FIFO rotation.
