EMEA Recruitment is working with an oil & gas business that is searching for a Trade Accountant to join their team in Rotterdam.The Trade Accountant will play a key role in improving trade accounting processes and ensuring reliable reporting within a dynamic international environment.As part of the Financial Accounting team in Rotterdam, you’ll collaborate closely with Business Control, Risk, and Front & Back Office teams locally, as well as colleagues in Germany and Switzerland.Responsibilities of the Trade Accountant:Ensure trading results are accurately reflected in the ledgers during monthly closingsMaintain clean, efficient, and audit-ready trading systemsPerform monthly internal controls within the established control frameworkAct as the primary contact for internal and external auditorsLead or support finance process improvement initiatives across the organizationCandidate Profile:5+ years of hands-on financial accounting experience, preferably in the energy or commodities sectorMaster’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fieldStrong understanding of trading operations and accounting principlesProven experience with month-end closings and audit preparationFluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and writtenIf you are interested in applying for this Trade Accountant role, please register your interest using the link below.
