PHILIPPINE TRADE AND INVESTMENT CENTER – OSAKATrade and Investment Section, Philippine Consulate General in OsakaOfficial Representation of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Western Japan, Republic of the Philippines⸻JOB ANNOUNCEMENTPosition Title: Trade and Investment OfficerLocation: PTIC Osaka, 2F Osaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry Building,2-8 Honmachibashi, Chuo-ku, Osaka City, Osaka 540-0029, Japan⸻Summary of PositionThe Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Osaka (PTIC-Osaka) — the trade and investment section of the Philippine Consulate General and the official representation of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) of the Republic of the Philippines in Western Japan — is seeking a qualified, analytical, and results-oriented Trade and Investment Officer to join its professional team.The position involves investment promotion, market analysis, investor relations, and business development to support PTIC-Osaka’s mandate of advancing Philippine–Japan economic cooperation. The Analyst will assist in identifying investment leads, engaging Japanese corporations, and providing research and technical support for trade and investment missions.⸻Key Responsibilities • Identify and promote investment opportunities in the Philippines for Japanese companies and industry groups • Conduct market research, sectoral analyses, and prepare commercial intelligence and investment briefs • Support investor engagement, business matching, and relationship management with Japanese and Philippine counterparts • Assist in organizing trade and investment missions, seminars, and promotional events in Japan and the Philippines • Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials for official visits and investment missions • Manage investor databases and maintain records of active leads and ongoing projects • Support PTIC-Osaka’s communications and digital platforms, including social media and outreach materials • Provide administrative and logistical assistance to the Commercial Counselor and visiting delegations⸻Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, International Relations, Finance, Marketing, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage but not required) • At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in investment promotion, business development, investor relations, consulting, or trade facilitation • Proven experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives, industry leaders, and institutional partners • Must possess an excellent business network and established professional connections within Japanese corporate, financial, or industry circles • Strong understanding of international business and investment dynamics, particularly in Japan and Southeast Asia • Excellent communication and writing skills in English and Japanese; proficiency in Filipino is an advantage but not required • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, digital marketing tools, and online collaboration platforms • Excellent research, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills • Must have valid authorization to work in Japan • Japanese citizens are most welcome to apply⸻Additional RequirementsShortlisted candidates will be required to submit the following prior to appointment: • Japanese National Police Clearance or equivalent • Security Clearance or Certificate of Good Moral Character • Valid residence and work permits (if applicable) • Academic transcripts and verified employment history⸻Application DetailsInterested applicants may submit the following to osaka@dti.gov.ph: 1.
