Trade Compliance Specialist

Our developments make an important contribution to safer, more efficient and more sustainable production, mobility and communication.In the Plasma Control Technologies (PCT) division, we manufacture specialized components that are required for the precise control of plasma processes and are used in the production of memory chips or touch screens for sensors, smartphones or tablets.What You Will DoEnsure compliance with local and international trade regulations (including US EAR/ITAR) and uphold internal Trade Compliance Policies across all sites. Manage SAP GTS screening, denied party checks, and product classification (e.g., ECCN, tariff codes, origin rules). Develop and deliver trade compliance training, maintain audit-ready records, and support external audits by regulators (Customs, MITI, MIDA, SIRIM). Lead investigations into trade violations, provide guidance to stakeholders, and identify opportunities for duty savings. Administer trade documents such as Certificates of Origin and manage trade-related master data in SAP/WMS. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field + 5+ years of trade compliance experience in a management role. Deep knowledge of:Customs Act 1967, US Export Controls (EAR/ITAR), and License Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) requirements. SAP GTS, WMS (e.g., Oracle, BAAN), and product classification processes. Experience working with Malaysian regulators (Customs, MITI, MIDA, SIRIM) and leading cross-functional teams. Analytical and proactive mindset with the ability to work independently under deadlines.
