The way we see it, every Alcoan is a work-shaper, team-shaper, idea-shaper, world-shaper.The role of the Trade Compliance Coordinator is required to ensure that Alcoa’s Corp operations is able to maintain a level of compliance consistent with Alcoa’s values, as well as the import and exports are conducted in accordance with the rules and regulatory requirements of European Customs authorities, European Countries legislation, Global Trade regulations and Alcoa policies.The position of Trade Compliance Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the company's adherence to all applicable international trade regulations, laws, and customs requirements; including Monitoring, Interpreting, analyzing and summarizing compliance requirements and new regulation which Alcoa should comply with.Your daily tasks will include:Gathering and consolidating European export and import dataSupport the implementation of Trade Compliance policies and proceduresCoordination with the European Customs IntermediariesSelf-audits of Customs documentationMaintenance of classification matrixes and databaseDevelop record-keeping proceduresDevelop TC training materials and provide training to the various internal customers Required Skills and Experience:Knowledge of customs regulations, import/export procedures, and international trade laws (e.g., HS classification, Incoterms, export controls).Studies in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Law, or a related field.Previous experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, international logistics, or a related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExceptional administrative and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Strong Office Skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)We will like if you have:Knowledge of other European Languages such as Dutch, Spanish, ItalianCustoms Administrator certificateNote: The grade/salary structure of the position may be subject to review depending on the candidate’s experience, skill set, and seniority.About the LocationAlcoa is an international company with multiple locations and joint ventures across six continents.
