We are seeking a talented individual to join our Credit specialty team at Marsh. This role will be based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.We Will Count On You ToDeveloping new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources. A key focus of this role will be growth oriented, and the ideal candidate will have a strong acumen to originate and win new businessManaging the existing New Zealand wide portfolioProactively identify and develop new Trade Credit and Credit Specialty prospects / opportunities, independently, and with support from regional credit specialty teams and business development executives and assume an annual new business target associated with thisMaintain active partnerships with insurers and clients including executive level in identifying risks and opportunities, provide recommendations and decision support for business strategy and performanceExecute new business initiatives, opportunities and provide timely status updatesManage insurance submission and placement; work independently or with internal specialists to deliver products and services to the target client to convert the prospectIndependently manage newly acquired key Trade Credit and Credit specialty accounts and be responsible for key deliverables and revenueEnsure operational excellence, reporting and compliance.Meet and exceed service standards agreed in the client's service agreementAssist the Head of Specialty with the preparation, management, implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goalsAttends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network, maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the CompanyContribute towards the Company's profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgetsMaintain an active and direct involvement in all claims related mattersCollaborates with senior level colleagues and project specialists to identify key decision makers, account needs and underlying risks to determine potential services, products and combinations that will best serve and address client business objectives, business compliance to expand accounts.What You Need To HaveExperienced in working with large corporate organisationsBachelor's degree in accounting, Commerce, Economics, Finance or Banking preferredLevel 5 qualification or plans to achieve within required legal timeframeStrong credit insurance knowledge with related work experience.Possess broad technical knowledge across commodity finance, trade finance etc.Pro-active and able to work independently.Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsStrong relationships building skillsA self-starter with a proactive and energetic approachBe confident interacting and presenting to clientsA strong sense of being inclusive and understanding diversity in the workforceTravel may be required on occasionWhat makes you stand out?Excellent Knowledge, time management, presentation and problem-solving skills.Good communication and written skills.Highly motivated and a team player with good interpersonal skills while concurrently being able to work proactively and work independently and in a team environment, where required.Positive attitude towards work and learning.Why Join Our TeamWe help you be your best through professional development opportunities, interesting work and supportive leaders.We foster a vibrant and inclusive culture where you can work with talented colleagues to create new solutions and have impact for colleagues, clients and communities.Our scale enables us to provide a range of career opportunities, as well as benefits and rewards to enhance your well-being.Marsh, a business of Marsh McLennan (NYSE: MMC), is the world's top insurance broker and risk advisor.
