We advise governments, port authorities, and development finance institutions on strategic connectivity and policy design, with a growing focus on Europe’s evolving role in global trade and green infrastructure diplomacy.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Trade & Infrastructure Policy Specialist to support advisory projects at the intersection of European trade strategy, infrastructure diplomacy, and regulatory modernization. Based in Brussels, this role is ideal for professionals with experience in EU external action, sustainable transport policy, or connectivity initiatives such as Global Gateway, TEN-T, or neighborhood cooperation programs.You will contribute to research outputs, stakeholder engagement, and policy advisory for clients across the EU, the Global South, and multilateral institutions.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct policy analysis on EU-led trade facilitation, digital customs, and green infrastructure initiativesPrepare technical reports, regulatory assessments, and investment strategy briefsTrack developments in Global Gateway, Neighbourhood, Development & International Cooperation (NDICI), and TEN-T policy frameworksAnalyze opportunities for European involvement in cross-border corridor development and regional logistics integrationSupport stakeholder mapping and knowledge products for EU institutions, DFIs, and partner governmentsCollaborate with cross-regional teams to contextualize EU policies in multilateral development dialoguesQualificationsMaster’s degree in EU Studies, Public Policy, Development Economics, or International Trade3–6 years of experience working in or with EU institutions, DFIs, or global trade-related programsFamiliarity with EU infrastructure investment tools, trade frameworks, or neighborhood policy instrumentsStrong analytical and writing skills in English; knowledge of French or Dutch is an assetExperience with multilateral consultations, technical assistance, or green connectivity projects is a plusUnderstanding of geopolitical dimensions of EU trade and infrastructure engagement is highly desirableApplication ProcessPlease submit your CV and a short cover letter via LinkedIn.
