Trading Operations Engineer

A global quantitative trading firm is looking for a Trade Operations Engineer to join its Singapore team. This role sits at the core of the firm’s live trading operations — managing real-time system performance, risk, and reliability across global markets.You’ll take ownership of supporting and enhancing mission-critical trading infrastructure, ensuring seamless execution in a fast-paced environment. Beyond day-to-day operations, you’ll contribute to the development of automation tools, deployment processes, and performance improvements. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, detail-oriented, and motivated to deepen their understanding of high-performance trading systems.What We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.Experience or strong interest in financial markets and electronic trading.Proficiency in C++ or another statically typed programming language.Familiarity with Linux systems and scripting tools.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.Team-oriented, low-ego attitude with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.Experience using Git.Experience with the Atlassian suite of tools (Jira, Stash, Confluence etc).Key Responsibilities:Monitor live trading systems and manage real-time risk across multiple global markets.Diagnose and resolve time-sensitive production issues with precision and composure.Support the deployment, configuration, and continuous improvement of trading applications.Contribute to software development — writing bug fixes, enhancing tools, and improving operational workflows.Collaborate with developers, traders, and infrastructure engineers to optimize performance and reliability.Participate in on-call or shift rotations to maintain seamless 24/7 trading coverage.
