Trading Operator

Our hiring partner, a leading international trading company specializing in crude oil and refined petroleum products, is seeking an Operator to join their growing.The ideal candidate will provide operational and administrative support to the trading desk, ensuring efficient execution of trades, accurate documentation, and full compliance with international trading and logistics standards.This is a great opportunity for a motivated professional with a background in energy trading, logistics, or trade operations to grow within a dynamic and fast-paced global environment.Key ResponsibilitiesTrade Execution Support:Coordinate and assist traders in executing oil trades (crude oil, refined products, etc.), ensuring timely order placement, confirmation, and follow-up.Documentation Management:Prepare, review, and manage trade documentation — including contracts, invoices, and bills of lading — in full compliance with industry and regulatory standards.Logistics Coordination:Liaise with shipping, storage, and transportation teams to schedule deliveries, monitor cargo movements, and handle delivery-related issues promptly.Risk & Compliance Monitoring:Support risk assessment activities by monitoring market conditions, supply chain disruptions, and adherence to company policies, sanctions, and trade laws.Data Analysis & Reporting:Maintain trade records, reconcile accounts, and prepare operational and financial reports to support the trading team’s strategy and performance reviews.Client & Vendor Communication:Act as a point of contact for clients, suppliers, and brokers to resolve operational queries, manage documentation, and ensure strong working relationships.RequirementsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or Supply Chain Management (or a related discipline).Experience:2+ years of experience in oil trading operations, logistics, or commodities trade support (experience in crude or refined products preferred).Knowledge:Strong understanding of oil markets, trading mechanisms, shipping logistics, and trade documentation workflows.Technical Skills:Proficiency in ERP/trading systems, MS Office (Excel, Outlook), and ideally exposure to Bloomberg or similar platforms.Soft Skills:Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical mindset, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams and external partners.Languages:Fluency in English is required.
