We offer motivated students the chance to get to know the world of EU public affairs “on the job”, while obtaining in-depth knowledge about certain EU Policy areas as well as the functioning of “Brussels”. The work of the DEKRA Representation to the European Union takes place in a lively European environment in a dynamic team. DEKRA is one of the world’s leading providers of testing, inspection, and certification services. With more than 48,000 highly qualified employees in 60 countries, DEKRA provides vehicle testing, appraisals, industrial inspection, certification, and testing services as well as personnel services to ensure safety on the road, at work, at home. The main focus of DEKRA’s team in Brussels is to promote the interests of DEKRA towards the European Institutions.  What you will do: ·       Legislative monitoring·       Research and preparation of background notes, briefings, and reports on European Policies·       Participation in meetings and conferences with EU institutions representatives·       General organizational and administrative support·       Support to the team, including in the organization of high-level policy events What you will bring: Very good spoken and written English, German is an assetOngoing studies with a focus on political / European studies, law or similarBasic knowledge of the European decision-making processes, and willingness to learn more about itDistinct communicative and diplomatic skillsProactive mindset and team spiritAbility to work in Belgium What we offer: A paid internship for currently enrolled students only, with working contract made under Belgian law (An agreement will be signed between DEKRA, the student and the sending university)Opportunity to develop an expertise on specific European legislative files·       Duty station: Brussels, Belgium with 2 days of teleworking per week·       Contract Length: 5 to 6 months starting ideally in February or March 2026 How to apply? Via Email with the internship title as the subject line addressed toMr. Oliver Deiters, Managing Director of the EU Representation, DEKRA e.V.
