Our Network Services team keeping our customers connected to the network.Description:Mō te tūranga | About the RoleAs a Trainee Line Mechanic, you’ll be a key part of our wider Service Delivery Team, helping ensure a reliable electricity supply for our network customers. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, you’ll receive hands-on training in:Installing power poles and linesSetting up new equipmentDiagnosing and repairing faultsWorking safely at heights using ladders and bucket trucksOperating a range of vehiclesSkills and Experiences:Nā tāu rourou | What you’ll bringYou’re a practical, motivated individual who thrives both independently and in a team. You bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to delivering excellent service—even when responding to faults after hours.To be successful, you’ll need:To be living locally (within driving distance of our Taumarunui Depot)NCEA Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent skills) and the ability to work toward a Level 4 qualificationA Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence (or working towards it)Physical fitness and confidence working at heightsA strong commitment to Health & SafetyEarn While You LearnAt The Lines Company, we invest in your growth.
