Traineeship (Policy and Strategy), SPR [GRIT@Gov]

What The Role IsThe traineeship is with both the Policy and Strategy teams under the Strategy, Policy and Resourcing (SPR) Division of Smart Nation Group.Strategy, Policy and Resourcing (SPR) Division is critical in shaping digital transformation across the whole-of-government (WOG) through strategic resource allocation and funding decisions. In this role, you will be a key member of the team prioritising and deciding the allocation of central Information and Communications Technology & Smart Systems (ICT&SS) funding and manpower resources to support WOG digital priorities.What You Will Be Working OnPolicy Development and Implementation:Formulate and implement policies to enhance digital product development across government agenciesDevelop frameworks for responsible technology adoption and risk management in digitalisationAnalyse emerging technological trends and their policy implicationsStrategic Planning And ImplementationContribute to the implementation of the Digital Government BlueprintSupport digitalisation planning and implementation for ministries across the GovernmentDesign and participate in SNDG's work planning and strategic planning cyclesCross-Agency CollaborationWork closely with other Centre-of-Government agencies to support Public Sector TransformationIdentify cross-agency synergies and central enablers for digitalisationEngage with a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholdersPerformance Tracking And AnalyticsDevelop processes to support digitalisation planning and implementation across ministriesContribute to growing the analytics function within SNDG to track digitalisation outcomesMonitor and evaluate the performance of digital transformation initiativesWhat We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a dynamic, adaptable professional with:Experience in technology policy, public policy, strategic planning, or a related fieldStrong analytical, critical thinking, and writing skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholdersAbility to present recommendations to senior management effectivelyUnderstanding of tech trends and their societal and regulatory implicationsExperience in product management or developing digital products is advantageous[Personal Traits]Being comfortable with accepting and responding to changes, amidst pressing deadlines. Strong sense of ownership of outcomes, and confidence to assess and express one’s own view on how to drive these outcomes, and identification with the Smart Nation Vision. Analytical, with good critical thinking and an eye for details. Curious, willing to build up ICT knowledge and keep up with technological trends. Being adept at prioritising and managing between multiple workstreams. Note: The traineeship will be for a period of 6 months.
