We are committed to an environment where everyone can succeed.The Oporajita – Collective Impact on Future of Work in Bangladesh project supports women working in the ready-made garment (RMG) industry (including those currently unemployed) to increase the share of women in managerial and supervisory roles. This is achieved through improved redressal and action on GBV, reduction in harassment and biases at home and in factories, and through gender-equitable policies and practices in the workplace.The overall goal is to create an enabling environment that supports career progression, empowerment, and employability for women garment workers in a future defined by automation and digitalization. The program aims to reach around 24,000 women, enhancing their capacity to respond to and recover from current and future livelihood challenges. This initiative is part of the Dignified Work Portfolio, which promotes dignified work for all women.The project will develop a self-sustaining Women Café model to ensure sustainability. A labor market assessment will be conducted to understand local demand and supply and identify viable trades for the Women Café. The project will design and implement basic entrepreneurship and technical/vocational skills training.All 800 selected women will receive basic entrepreneurship training, including business selection, planning and management, accounting, customer service, and market linkages. This will be a five-day training with food provided. From these, 200 women will be selected for trade-based skills training, with training fees covered by the project. The training strategy will be defined based on the selected trade.The Trainer – Business & Market will be responsible for conducting Training Needs Assessments (TNA), developing IGA training modules, and delivering training. They will also map relevant markets, banks, non-bank financial institutions, and private sector entities.Based on trade requirements, the Trainer will identify public and private sectors with potential for Women Café growth and sustainability and establish linkages through meetings/workshops. MOUs will be signed with agencies providing financial assistance to promising entrepreneurs.II. Responsibilities and Tasks: - TimeResponsibility # 1: - 20%Support for Market AssessmentAssist consultants in conducting market assessments.Follow up market assessment activities in designated areas.Training Needs Assessment:Conduct assessments to identify potential Income Generating Activities (IGA) for participants.Collect data via KOBO, interviews, and focus groups to identify skill gaps.Analyze results and recommend customized training programs.Finalize IGA participants for training.Training Program Development:Design and develop comprehensive IGA training programs aligned with Project goals.Create training modules, materials, and interactive activities to support skill development.Responsibility # 2: - 60%Training Delivery:Prepare a training calendar to ensure timely completion.Conduct engaging sessions on technical and soft skills (e.g., communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, time management).Use effective instructional techniques such as presentations, group discussions, role-plays, case studies, and experiential learning.Maintain documentation of trainee records.Formation of Women cafe:Develop operational guidelines for Women Café.Establish Women Café for business sustainability.Responsibility # 3: - 20%Monitoring IGA/Businesses and Stakeholder Linkages:Regularly monitor IGA/business participants and provide feedback.Build linkages with financial and private organizations for support and market access.Collect success stories.Maintain an IGA database.Support to TO & PM Related to IGA/Business:Support and build capacity of Assistant Trainers.Provide reports and information to TO & PM.Collaborate with MEAL team.Work closely with Women-Friendly Space (WFS) Facilitators and Psychosocial Counselors.Assist in developing effective linkages and networking with key stakeholders financial, non-financial and private organization related to IGA/business.Identify key financial, non-financial, and private stakeholders related to IGA/business.Maintain stakeholder networks.Link IGA participants with stakeholders.General Responsibilities on Safety and Security, and Safeguarding of children and vulnerable adultsAs part of this role, the job holder must adhere to and support CARE Bangladesh’s Safety and Security policy and systems as part of their day-to-day duties and comply with safety & security protocols and directives, including reporting.
