The MTW Mine is the largest open cut operation in the region, employing approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities.Job Tasks And ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a passionate Training Officer to join the team at Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW). This role reports to the site Training Supervisor. As part of the broader Health, Safety and Training team, the Training Officer will ensure all training developed or conducted on site is in alignment with the site Training and Competency Management Scheme, Yancoal values, and relevant site department’s goals & objectives.In Particular, You Will Be Required ToDevelop, review and deliver internal training across site;Deliver training and assessment in isolation, site induction, contractor supervision & light vehicle operations;Maintain legislative and regulatory standards for training documents and procedures;Source, arrange and coordinate external training as well as involvement with training audits; andCoach and provide feedback to stakeholders and training participants.Skills And ExperienceEssential Criteria:Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Training roleMust have excellent presentation & communication skillsCertificate IV in Training and AssessmentMust have excellent time management skillsWell-developed range of enterprise skillsDesirable CriteriaPrevious Surface coal operational experience in a training roleKnowledge of Pegasus/Avetta PortalKnowledge of CS Order 34 guidelinesBenefitsYancoal provides a range of benefits to appeal to the diverse needs of our employees.
