height="0" width="0" style="display:none;visibility:hidden">Transmission Planning & Studies Engineer - Junior LevelPower Engineers, Inc. is seeking junior-level Transmission Planning/Studies Engineers. This position is posted in multiple POWER office locations with the ability to work remotely from a mutually acceptable location within the United States.Roles And ResponsibilitiesThis individual will be responsible for interfacing with other engineers in the preparation of computer-based models and performing power system studies on utility transmission/distribution systems and industrial/commercial electrical power systems, including: feasibility studies, system impact studies, reactive compensation studies, protective relay settings, critical clearing time, stability (transient & dynamic), long/short range planning studies, short circuit, load flow, motor starting, power factor correction, and other related studies.This person must be able to self-manage, with a strong conceptualization ability and strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills â including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.Required Education/ExperienceRequires a BSEETwo (2) + years of experience in electrical engineering system studiesExcellent written and verbal English communication skills including proposal writing, report writing, and other technical writingExperience with PSSE, PSLF, or other equivalent software packagesExperience with TARA steady-state preferredWilling to travel (10% or more at times)Ability to work successfully in a customer-focused, project-oriented environmentDesired Education/ExperienceEIT registration (or equivalent)MSEEEMT software experience is a plusPOWER Engineers, Member of WSP, is a global consulting environmental and engineering firm and one of the top design firms in the energy sector.
