Role: Travel Surgery Center AdministratorLocation: St. Louis, MissouriType: FTE/PermanentAbout The RoleA leading national provider of ambulatory surgery center (ASC) services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Travel Surgery Center Administrator (SWAT/Float Pool) to oversee operations at multiple facilities across the Mid-America Division.This executive-level role is ideal for a seasoned ASC Administrator looking to make a regional impact and support high-performance surgical centers throughout the Midwest.Key ResponsibilitiesFacility & Operational OversightOversee daily operations of assigned ambulatory surgery centersServe as liaison between Medical Staff, Governing Board, and departmental teamsEnsure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agenciesLead operational review presentations with corporate teamsBusiness & Financial ManagementManage facility budgets and staffing plansControl purchasing in alignment with group purchasing agreementsMonitor financial performance and support profitabilityNegotiate contracts and optimize pricing strategiesStaff & Personnel ManagementLead hiring, training, and performance reviews for clinical and non-clinical staffConduct monthly staff meetings and manage workforce productivityEnsure accurate employee documentation and promote development opportunitiesClinical Services & ComplianceMaintain compliance with all regulatory standardsOversee departments such as nursing, central supply, and medical recordsCoordinate third-party services for lab, radiology, pharmaceuticals, and moreEnsure proper maintenance and functionality of medical equipmentQuality Improvement & SafetyLead the quality improvement program and infection control processesMonitor key performance indicators and service outcomesIdentify and resolve patient care quality issuesMedical Staff CoordinationManage credentialing and collaborate with the Medical DirectorFacilitate positive relationships between clinical staff and physiciansMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree (Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field)7+ years of progressive experience in ASC or healthcare administrationProven success in managing surgical center operationsStrong understanding of healthcare compliance, budgeting, and staffingWillingness to travel up to 25% across the MidwestMust pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) checkPreferred QualificationsExperience with surgical center operations software/toolsKnowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., AAAHC, CMS, Joint Commission)Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills
