Solutions supplied include glass that keeps out intruders, sound, heat, ultraviolet light and cold as well as glass that comes in a wide range of decorative finishes, colours, patterns, and images.Main Job PurposeTo assist the driver in the loading and offloading of glass and manoeuvering of the vehicle in the safest possible manner for delivery to customers, trucks to be loaded and off loaded onto a level surface or as close to it as possible, securing loads to be carried out according to loading and offloading procedure and double check during trips that glass is always properly tied and loaded in a safe manner.Main ObjectiveCheck for the most suitable place to load and off load the vehicleComplete quality check sheet while loadingLoad and offload in a safe mannerAssist the driver and report any damage to any propertyBefore leaving a Customer, ensure the load is restrained again before driving offAssist the driver when reversing or moving the truck in confined spaces or in unseen areasAssist where possible with control of paperworkFollow all work instructions, standard operating procedures and business rulesAdhere to environmental, safety and housekeeping standardsAny other tasks requested by the factory supervisor to be carried out to the best of your abilityWilling to work overtime and weekends when requiredCritical Job RequirementsQualification(s)Grade 12Code 10 or higher valid driver’s licence with PrDP will be an advantageAttributesSelf motivating and independent starterAbility to work under pressureHigh energy to work in a fast pace environmentMobility – ability to travel to workComplete today’s work todaySkillsExcellent CommunicationExcellent interpersonal skills – effective in handling and interacting with customersProven analytical and numerical skillsExperienceExperience in handling and moving of dangerous goodsExperience in handling various types of glass productsKnowledge and understanding and reading of drawings and production ordersNecessary experience in glass handling and quality controlPG Group, and its subsidiaries, are committed to the principles of employment equity and as such are equal opportunity employers.
