To learn more, please see our Why Work Here blog post.About The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Food Processing Compliance Specialist to join our compliance team. You will focus on ensuring food safety, operational safety, and regulatory compliance across all production operations according to internal SOP. You will have 3–5 years of experience in auditing and a preferred working knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and OSHA guidelines. This role may include leading small audit teams or mentoring junior staff.ResponsibilitiesAudit & Compliance of Food ProcessingYou will conduct regular internal audits and compliance of food processing operations to ensure compliance with internal SOP and GMP, HACCP, FSMA, SQF/BRC, and other regulatory or customer standards.You will identify and report non-conformances; work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective actions.Maintain accurate audit documentation, reports, and records.Promote activities that encompass the OAF cultureAssess food safety programs and sanitation procedures across the plant to ensure complianceVerify allergen control, traceability systems, and microbial risk mitigation protocols to be adherent to existing SOPsParticipate in investigations of food safety incidents and help drive root cause analysis.Operational SafetyEvaluate safety procedures and equipment to ensure compliance with internal SOP and OSHA regulations and internal safety standards.Conduct safety audits, walk-throughs, and training sessions in collaboration with the Processing Plant Health & Safety team.Recommend improvements to the process owners based on the results of your audits and compliance checks.Training & SupportSupport and guide one junior auditor or assistant in daily activities and documentation.Help develop and deliver fluency in compliance and related audit processes.Develop existing compliance tools and suggest areas of focus to allow for effective outcomes.Continuous MonitoringIndependently monitor production, QA, and EHS teams to promote compliance in food and operational safety practices.Develop an understanding of current regulations, technologies, and potential best practices in food safety and plant operations.Career Growth and DevelopmentWe have a strong culture of constant learning and we invest in developing our people.
