The business operates in a technical manufacturing environment and is in the process of strengthening its operational infrastructure to support long-term growth. A newly appointed leadership team is focused on building out core systems, improving financial transparency, and driving commercial performance. Role Summary We are seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Financial Controller to join the team in Budapest.
This is a key operational finance role with broad scope — responsible for leading core financial control processes, supporting ERP improvement efforts, and acting as a strategic partner to the leadership team during a period of change.
Key ResponsibilitiesOwn end-to-end financial control, including cost accounting, budgeting, and reportingLead planning and analysis to support business performance and strategic decision-makingDrive improvements in ERP systems and ensure alignment with operational processesCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and leadershipMaintain compliance with Hungarian and international accounting standardsCandidate ProfileFluent in Hungarian and English (written and spoken)Proven experience with ERP systems, ideally including implementation or optimisation projectsStrong background in financial control, with experience in cost allocation and management reportingPrevious experience in a manufacturing or production-based environment is preferredComfortable working in a hands-on, SME setting, where versatility and initiative are keyAble to work from the Budapest office 3–4 days per weekPreferred Skills & CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesERP proficiency (e.
