A creative team is looking for an illustrator to create visually bold, retro-textured artwork for a children’s book that forms part of a larger brand launch. The desired style draws inspiration from 1970s European posters, vintage travel art, risograph prints, and the bold, decorative richness seen in artists like Alan Berry Rhys, House of Hackney, and Laurent de Brunhoff. Each spread should stand alone like a poster—layered, textured, and rich in colour, with neon accents, gold detailing, and deep contrast. The focus is on artful, character-driven illustrations that lean more graphic and expressive than soft or traditional.
Deliverables will include cover art and 12–20 illustrated spreads (final number to be confirmed), with the potential for spot illustrations or layout elements. All text, moodboards, character direction, and visual references will be provided. The ideal illustrator will be comfortable working collaboratively and remotely with a creative team based in Dubai.
