U.S. Admissions Writing Consultant

Freshman Academy is a Singapore-based admissions consultancy helping students gain admission to top universities such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Stanford, UPenn, and more.Our team empowers students from diverse geographic and socio-economic backgrounds, focusing on genuine academic and personal growth rather than a "tick-the-box" approach to admissions.In recent years, we have helped students from public schools secure over $350K in scholarships at Ivy League institutions, launched state-funded camps for 800 students and 18,000+ applicants, and more.We are seeking an experienced U.S. Admissions Consultant who is passionate about education and excited to work in a mission-driven, social startup environment.This position starts with a one- to two-month probationary period, after which it will transition from part-time to full-time.Key Responsibilities:Advise students on motivational and supplemental essay writing, including brainstorming ideas, structuring content, and providing detailed edits.Provide strategic guidance on developing extracurricular activities and engaging with undergraduate-level intellectual topics.Meet prospective clients and their parents to communicate Freshman Academy's mission and values.Design and lead seminars on liberal arts education, narrative development, interview preparation, and other admissions-related topics.Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree, ideally in the Humanities or Social SciencesProficiency in Uzbek and/or Russian is a plus Strong experience in writing and editing university application materialsDemonstrated experience with university applications, either through personal application or by guiding others, in the U.S., UK, or SingaporeProficiency in Google Suite and video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet)Learn more about Freshman Academy:Website: www.freshman.academyInstagram: www.instagram.com/freshman.academyWatch our student opening a Harvard acceptance letter, showcasing the impact of our work: www.instagram.com/p/DDj4M_ftYtL/Compensation:From 1,200 USD/month, depending on experience and qualifications.Application Process:Email your CV and cover letter to valera@freshman.sg.
