SummaryThis position is located at the Fitness Centers of the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department, NAS Sigonella. The primary purpose of this position is to provide assistance in the operation and maintenance of the Fitness program. Duties Help Provides assistance in the operation and maintenance of the Fitness program. Issues equipment and provides information and instructions to patrons on proper utilization of fitness equipment. Conducts equipment inventories and patron counts. Ensures all patrons adhere to fitness center rules and policies. Performs routine inspections and is responsible for minor maintenance of the facility.
Ensures that fitness center is maintained in a clean and orderly condition and is prepared for scheduled events. Collects money from patrons and keeps a change fund. May be required to assist with special events or cover shifts at either fitness center. Performs other related duties as assigned. Male candidates born after December 31, 1959, and at least 18 years of age, are required to certify that they have registered with the Selective Service System (Attach proof of registration). Civilian candidates must possess: No-Fee Passport (containing VISA and Statement), Sponsor's Permanent Change of Station (PCS) Orders, including page 2 if necessary, or Command-Sponsorship authorization, and Sojourner's Permit/Application Letter. Will be required to obtain Emergency First Responder or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate, Customer Service Training within the first 90 days of employment. Military personnel, if selected, must provide PCS Orders and written authorization from their command to work during off-duty hours. QualificationsQualification Requirements:
Three (3) months of general experience OR high school graduation (or GED/equivalent).
