UAT Tester

Collaborate with Business Analysts, developers, and users to understand business requirements and testing objectives.Prepare detailed UAT test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts based on functional specifications.Execute UAT cycles, including test execution, defect logging, defect tracking, and retesting.Utilize SQL (and optionally, Impala/Hive) to perform data validation, cross-checking, and backend testing.Validate reports, dashboards, or data outputs, including optional checks using QlikSense or VBA/Python tools.Participate in discussions with business users to clarify issues, align expectations, and ensure test coverage.Document test results clearly and present findings to stakeholders.Support end users throughout the UAT phase, ensuring smooth preparation for go-live.Collaborate closely with teams related to Banking operations and User Testing Areas when required.Minimum QualificationsMandatoryStrong SQL skills for data extraction, validation, and comparison.Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.Excellent communication and presentation skills to explain test results and defects clearly.PreferableExperience with Cloudera (Impala or Hive) for querying big data environments.Ability to use Macro/VBA for automation of repetitive test tasks.Basic to intermediate Python skills for data manipulation or test scripting.OptionalUnderstanding of QlikSense for dashboard/data validation activities.Basic knowledge of banking processes, products, or operations.Familiarity with User Testing Area and UAT workflows.
