UAV Application Developer

Position Title: UAV Application DeveloperDepartment: R&D / Autonomous SystemsReports To: Team Lead – Autonomous SystemsLocation: Vapi, GujaratPosition Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Drone Application Developer to join our team to develop cutting-edge drone applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in programming single-board computers (SBCs), particularly NVIDIA Jetson platforms, and a passion for autonomous systems and aerial robotics.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and optimize software applications for drone systems running on embedded platforms.Optimize code for performance, power efficiency, and real-time constraints on embedded systems.Conduct testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of drone applications in simulation and field environments.Document technical specifications, code, and deployment procedures.Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.Implement computer vision and AI algorithms on NVIDIA Jetson boards for real-time processing.Required Qualifications:Hands-on experience programming single-board computers, specifically NVIDIA Jetson platforms (Nano, TX2, Xavier, Orin).Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for embedded systems development.Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and embedded Linux development.Experience with ROS/ROS2 for robotics applications (preferred).Familiarity with drone autopilot systems and MAVLink protocol.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in resource-constrained environments.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Robotics, or related field.Experience with sensor integration (cameras, LiDAR, IMU, GPS).Previous work on commercial or research drone projects.Technical Skills:Programming Languages: C++, PythonPlatforms: NVIDIA Jetson series, Raspberry Pi, other ARM-based SBCsTools: Git, Docker, CMakeDevelopment Environment: Linux (Ubuntu preferred), embedded Linux distributionsExperience Level: 2–6 yearsEmployment Type: Full-timeContact / Referral: Interested candidates or referrals may reach out to parijat.patel@merai.co
