We are looking for a visionary, dynamic and strategic Nordic Policy & Public Affairs Lead to shape policy, legislative, and regulatory environments in the Nordics. You can be based in one of the Nordic countries.
About The RoleAs the Nordic Policy & Public Affairs Lead are responsible for developing and executing comprehensive policy and engagement strategy to shape policy, legislative, and regulatory environments related to the key Therapeutical areas and assets that will serve across UCB markets in the Nordics (Denmark, Sweden, Norway & Finland), engaging with stakeholders, and building coalitions to support health system changes. Who youâll work with: In the role of Nordic Policy & Public Affairs Lead, you will collaborate with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders.
Internally, you will work closely with our Nordic access team, cross functional therapeutic asset teams, and other key stakeholders within UCB. Externally, you will cultivate and nurture relationships with stakeholders and partners focused on improving patient access, and advancing national and local policies to support programs that enhance treatment and care for patients. This includes engaging with political and policy events, panels, congresses, patient advocacy groups and trade associations. What will you do: Develop and execute policy strategies related to immunology, osteoporosis, and neurology.
That is informed by the companyâs portfolio to maximize patient impact and that is working towards a health system readiness for innovations in the prioritized disease areasCollaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to improve patient access and care.
And deliver a clear steer, prioritization, engagement tools and materials to the marketsMonitor legislative trends and assess their impact on our businessPrioritize (with the business) policy focus for global strategy and local needsBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and partnersCommunicate effectively with senior leadership and local teamsRepresent UCB at political and policy eventsInterested? For this position youâll need the following education, experience and skills: Minimum 5 years of experience in government affairs, public affairs, or patient advocacy. Proven track record in policy, advocacy, or government affairs. Strong understanding of policy, scientific, and commercial communication.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects. Native-level English and fluency in one of the Nordic languages. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Impeccable ethics and integrity. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in immunology or neurology. Experience in both public and private sectors. Strong leadership and coaching skills. Ability to manage conflicts and negotiate effectively. Proactive, results-driven, and entrepreneurial mindset. Deadline applications:
