Our mission is to innovate, compete, and redefine the future of artificial intelligence. Role Description This is a volunteer role for a UI Designer at ZAIL. The UI Designer will collaborate on creating user-centered interface designs and developing visual assets, such as mockups and prototypes, to enhance the usability of AI-driven products. The role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive user experience (UX), maintaining an iterative design process, and implementing feedback to refine design solutions. This is a hybrid position based in Kampala, with flexibility to work remotely for certain tasks. Qualifications Proficiency in Visual Design and User Interface (UI) DesignExperience in creating Mockups, Wireframes, and PrototypesStrong understanding of User Experience (UX) principles to ensure intuitive design solutionsBasic knowledge of Front-End Development to collaborate with engineering teamsFamiliarity with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar softwareStrong communication and teamwork skills to work in a hybrid environmentBachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field is preferredPassion for AI innovation and a commitment to contributing to Africa’s technological advancement
